9/7/2022 IT’S SHION’S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!! I usually miss birthdays for fictional characters, but not this time. I watched no.6 for the first time on 6/22/2022 (and finished it on the same day). Even though i thought that some parts of the story or the side characters weren’t that great, i think i was inclined to like it because i love anything dystopian/apocalyptic. I also thought that the main characters were entertaining, especially nezumi. I don’t know how to explain it, but while i was watching it, it felt comforting in a way? Some scenes were genuinely intriguing to me too! I still have to read the manga, and i really want to rewatch the anime soon. I think i would rate it a 7/10 but some scenes for me were 10/10.
Other comments: i was actually really lucky enough to find a cute no.6 print at an anime convention last month :D (will find the artist’s username later) I had a nitpick with the subtitles where Nezumi’s name was always written as “Rat”. i KNOW that nezumi means rat, but it was really jarring to see him only referred to as that. They could have just addressed that his name translated to rat, but then kept the subtitles as “nezumi” (maybe other subtitles didn’t have this issue idk). That’s like if a character’s name was “sakura” but the subtitles only referred to them as “cherry blossom” (that’s how i think at least…)
